So Williams the Shoe Store is having a great clearance sale - $20 shoes and free shipping for orders over $75... even better, they are leather shoes and decent brands.

There is nothing too fancy but some good quality slides and wedges for Summer - perfect time to stock up.

I did - five pairs delivered for $100, not complaining! (Not all for me - Jase and my Mum got a look in too)

Check it out here
Oh and the website is slooooooow - seems everyone is taking advantage of the sale so be patient!

The ones I picked:

Nude heels, classic and easy for Spring dresses

Some black raffia wedges - great with tailored shorts for Summer

And some black flats to replace the ones I have walked through the sole of!

It is feeling very spring like now :) (staunchly ignoring tomorrows forecast of a top of 18 degrees - eek! Damn August winds always bringing the last cold snap!)

Country Road have relaunched their website and check out their gorgeous spring range

I LOVE this blouse - big fan of classic cuts and casual elegance and I love the on trend colour, perfect with all the fun jeans around at the moment

I also love this Kaftan top from Forever New - I get a lot of wear out of their Kaftan Tops, they are so cute with tailored shorts and we like to spend weekends at the coast where they are perfect

Pastels are all in - these aqua jeans from JeansWest would be so fun with layers and a scarf for early spring dressing

Another late night writing lectures (who wants to swap lives for the next few weeks!)

and this was shared on facebook and it resonated for me tonight. I am a big fan of stepping up to make your own fate.

And now to apply that wisdom and attempt to finish my two hour Respiratory Pathogen lecture...

Busy writing lectures (why do I agree to take on lecturing?! I do like teaching but loathe having to work late at night on lectures where I need to be an expert on hours and hours of material, sigh! Never mind the fact that I am busy enough with one job let alone working a second job! And the pay is SO not worth it..)

and cheering myself up with some online window shopping..

Bargain of the night:

There little Nine West flats for only $59.95, down from $139. Red and studded - how cute with jeans for the weekend or with black stockings as a pop of colour for work
Lust of the night:

Alannah Hill dress - I would love this for a cocktail party that Jase has coming up in Boston (which alas I am not going to but if I was..!) $389

About Me

My Photo
Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
