Love, bubs and life on our little farm

24 weeks into my first pregnancy and we are celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary :)

So of course that requires lots of photos!

hubby surprised me with.... a diamond eternity ring!!! Its a stunning 0.75 carats of baguette cut diamonds edged in round cut diamonds and its just dazzling!! He loved his watch and cufflinks which was great :) and we had a delightful dinner out at a New Farm Italian restaurant which had pizza that reminded me totally of our time in Italy -sigh! What made me laugh was that hubby and I basically wrote identical letters to each other in our cards - we are definitely on the same wave length which is special. we are both so excited about what the next year will bring :)



Now - 24 weeks
Pregnancy - apparently bub is measuring small - which could have something to do with the fact that I have put on under the minimum recommended weight gain and my long hours at my job where I am on my feet all day... but she is growing at the right rate so its not a real issue :)
I am big and sore and uncomfortable now - not sleeping well, so many leg cramps and tight belly feelings. I am guessing all my horseriding and pilates abba-dabba muscles are putting up a painful fight against the stretching! I am now getting indigestion as I think bub is squishing my stomach and I dont feel like eating at all...
I am finding all the running around at work gets me ouch and very tired! I am dreading a three day work trip I have to Sydney starting tomorrow :( I have taken next monday off to rest for when I get back (gggrr work trip on a weekend!)
Worst of all now none of my clothes fit :( I am going to have to head to a maternity store and pay the ridiculous prices for some tent clothes!

Yep here I am :) heartburn, nosebleeds, leg cramps, tight hurting tummy skin and a flat belly button! Seems I am getting towards the business end now!! Bub loves to kick and roll and hubby can hear her heartbeat when he puts his ear on my tummy - awww!!





Weight - 64kg(!) starting weight - 58kg

Yep thats right :) my gorgeous husband woke me up today (my birthday!!) with a gorgeous blue box from Tiffany and Co - I was so blown away and totally excited!!! Talk about spoiling me!!

So... I unwrapped a beautiful heart pendant and silver chain - and of course I have pics!!





My bday has been magical - a long lazy breakfast on our back verandah overlooking our lovely dam with the chickens, ducks and my horses keeping us company - sometimes our life is like a B&B that most people pay a fortune to stay at! Then we headed for the Jimboomba markets, picked up some fresh bread and headed up to Mt Tamborine Mountain where we walked through the stunning Botanical gardens and had a lovely picnic (with a random chicken who joined us! strange but so cute!) and we finished with a hike to a beautiful waterfall :)


Now I am chilling before I get all snazzed up and we head into the city to the Valley to a funky Turkish restaurant :)

Feeling like the luckiest girl in the world!!

PS. Our trip to Canberra was really nice - so lovely to hang out with all our friends and our hotel was nice! Plus we celebrated Valentines day - Jase got me an amazing Hot Milk slip - black, lace and ribbons - very yummy mummy! And I got him a sexy pair of Oroton undies - they always look damn good! The workshop was fantastic and challenging and all that :) I love my job! But the flights etc really took it out of me - I defeintely dont have the stamina I had before I was pregnant and I really had to sleep to catch up...

Time is flying :)

Had my early bday celebration on the weekend with the family - so much fun! just casual hanging out with munchies on the back verandah and then lasagne for dinner :) Hubby made a gorgeous pink and white cupcake cake - SO yum!! I am still eating cupcakes ;)

My pressies included a lovely quilt that mum got a lady to handmake me out of japanese fabrics - its just so special! And a lovely cashmere throw rug and a stack of cosmetics and Clarins face products (mm pampering!).. Still have to wait for hubbies pressie though! Will get it on my actual bday when we are on our babymoon :)

I had a huge preggo boohoo on the weekend and was being a hormonal downer (nothing worth mentioning just being a sensitive sooky la-la!!) So my gorgeous hubby surprised me with the loveliest Hot Milk Satin bra set!! Aqua blue with japanese blossoms on it :) - definitely made me feel like a sexy mumma-to be :) I felt very spoilt! and its so comfy too!

Pregnancy Notes - weight - 63kg (was 57.5kg), sore sore tummy - lots of sore muscles and weird pains (Indigestion??), horrible cold, the usual back pain..
Foods - grapes, red apples, mums chocolate coconut slice, still milo!

I was mucking around with some photos I had taken and I decided to share this pic of our photo wall - I really love how the wall turned out and even better its all pictures that I have taken from our honeymoon in Samoa and our 7 weeks trip around Europe and Japan. makes it special that they are our happy memories :)

Yep second shocking cold I have had in a month - got to love the supressed immunre response you get during pregnancy! So time for a whinge :) I am so miserable - sore, aching, sniffing, sore throat, headaches.. and I cant take anything! Whats worse is my tummy is so achy and sore lately - guess its all the stretching etc

Still... life is seriously good and a cold isnt going to change that! My parents and brother and girlfriend are visiting tomorrow for my birthday dinner (a week early but hey still awesome fun!) and my gorgeous hubby is making my favourite cupcakes (YUM!).. not long till we head to Canberra to see all our friends, cant wait!! And hubby and I managed to score the same Qantas flights so we will be spending Valentines Day evening eating plane food next to each other - how romantic! but hey at least we are together and not off on seperate work trips as usual - and then... our babymoon/anniversary holiday :)

Ooh I will post some pics of the gorgeous 5 star apartment we are staying - has its own private spa pool on the balcony and views over Fraser island - cant wait to relax and eat yummy food etc - bring it on! We will be spending my birthday there which will be nice :)

Our gorgeous chickens are our pseudo-dogs - they live in the backyard and they sleep on our back doormat. They are so lovely and tame and once you have owned a chook you will understand how sweet they are!

Anyways during the middle of the day, they love to line up along our back door and preen and peer inside to keep an eye on us. I had to take a photo of them! :)

Yes it was a busy weekend but it was fantastic and relaxing also :)

Most importantly Spech finally got his operation on his teeth - the dentist and the vet came out friday morning and got stuck into his hooks and ramps. After having to take three quarters of his molars off - the poor boy should be able to eat and live without discomfort and headaches. He was so sweet all doped up on the anaesthetic - so sooky! I managed to make a big fuss by blacking out twice while all this was happening. No I wasnt freaked out about the procedure etc - just some good old pregnancy blood pressure/hot day issues :) I spent that day feeling really crappy and woosy - blah!

I painted the wood chest of drawers for the nursery white and it looks fantastic in the nursery theme.

Anyways on Saturday, hubby and I went up Mt Coo-tha and had a lovely lunch at the lookout cafe there. It has the most devine views of Brisbane and the city and bay. The rain was pouring in and it was so cosy :). then we had the smart idea of going bushwalking in the heavy rain with one umbrella, no jackets and thongs! It was heaps of fun though and wading through the causeways and running water pouring down the walks was good for a laugh - best of all the waterfalls were so pretty! then we finished by hitting up the best nursery sale ever and got so many gorgeous palms and plants for our rainforest garden. The garden is looking fantastic now!

Sunday was all about tidying the house and preparing for our BBQ.. that was lovely - so good to see friends and havea nice relaxing hang out.. mmm the food wasnt bad either ;)

Now back to a long week of work :)

At least next week we have our trip to Canberra (work trip but hubby has one at the same time so we are catching up wtih friends and enjoying the nice hotel room that my work has paid for me - yay!) and then we go on our babymoon/anniversary trip and its my bday - all good things!! :)
