I have neglected my blog :( I have been so busy I am afraid - work has just been crazy and life is too with interstate trips and lots of farm work to do...

I feel bad as some lovely people have even given me blog awards! Thank you! That means a lot to me as I write my blog to please myself not any one else so its nice to know that even still some people enjoy it!

I now have a killer head cold and a toddler teething her molars so I wish I had something lovely or fun to post but alas unless you want to hear a whinge about how much work I need to get done on my scientific grants or how we are slowly and very dully moving forward with our house extension plans... not much to say!

The horse front has also been quiet as Spech is having some corrective shoeing done at the moment in order to get his bad foot to grow some new sole (which is working well!) but means he is on rest from competitions.. I have been giving Sam a little bit of work in the meanwhile but am not feeling too motivated at the moment.

In bright news, despite more dust storms, bushfires and high winds, we have had over 30mm of rain in the last week and our paddocks are green and shooting lovely fresh spring grass :)

I did buy a lovely dip dye/tie dye skirt the other day... that is about as exciting as my summer shopping has been recently...

And that is me for now :) xoxo

Good to "see" you again. I hope the teething is over and done with soon, and that you feel better soon.

Would love to see a pic of your new purchase.

About Me

My Photo
Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
