Happiness is..

Had another one of those moments where I went "whoa I am so blessed.." and I thought I should acknowledge my special little everday moments from the last 24 hours that add up to me being a happy person.

- The feeling of my little ones hand in my mine as she trots along beside me.

- Watching my husband work hard on our lovely gardens to make our home beautiful.

- Hearing the contented snorts of my horses grazing our green paddocks.

- Little arms giving me tight hugs and big noisy kisses.

- The satisfaction of emailing off some completed work documents, that rewarding feeling of finishing a challenge.

- Having a lovely girls night out for some me time and coming home to softly lit home with a sleeping bub and a welcome hug at the door.

- Getting a sleep-in and hearing happy sounds from the lounge room.

- Resting on the lounge, hearing nothing but trees blowing in the wind and birds fighting over the flowers in the native trees.

- Measuring out our deck extension and excitedly planning the outdoor furniture and kitchen that will be perfect for the indoor/outdoor lifestyle we love.

Life is simple. Life is good. I hope yours is too xoxo

Love that one :) - it is lovely to stop and appreciate the little things isn't it?

I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
