Hot
Spending the day at the beach with my lovely parents and brother, watching Elka have so much fun.

Feeling my little baby girl kicking away and watching my tummy bounce.

Getting my sixth scientific paper published. Hoping that seven and eight are pretty close too as they are in the works..

The news that my Dad's melanoma is hopefully completely removed from his back.

Feeling lovely and round and pregnant and not too uncomfortable yet!

Realising how blessed we are with wonderful jobs and how comfortable we are with lots of wonderful things in our life and fun plans.

Not
Saying goodbye to a lovely friend and her beautiful kids that are moving away - going to miss our catch ups Sar!

Losing a diamond out of my brand new necklace! I am off to complain tomorrow! boo!

Having to go into work on Sunday as there is just so much research that needs doing before my students lab presentations. I have been trying to avoid working weekends since burning myself out in my PhD.

Discovering we need a Town Planner to work on our development submission before we can get council approval - its taking forever and costing a fortune! I just want to see that slab go down damnit!

Standing in the spare bedroom and stressing about turning it into the new nursery whilst still waiting for extensions to be finished (hormonal stress I know!)

The mouse in our bedroom wall that wakes me up at 4am every morning and then I cant get back to sleep thanks to pregnancy insominia. Wondering where our python that has been in the roof (as indicated by snake skins) has gone as I prefer him to mice.

About Me

My Photo
Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
