The munchkin has been asking to see dolphins for awhile now - they feature on her favourite Wiggles DVD (a zoo episode). We live close to Seaworld and are eligible for VIP passes that mean we can have unlimited visits to the theme parks until June... so how could we not take her!

Jase decided to take the Thursday off before Easter so its been a lovely extra long weekend for us and a perfect time to head to Seaworld pre-school holiday crowds.

What fun! Elka loved the animals, particularly the fish, turtles and Polar bear. The dolphin show mostly held her attention and left Jase and I impressed since we haven't seen it ourselves since were teenagers. I was delighted to discover that they have built a fantastic area for toddlers with rides that they are actually allowed to go on! I was expecting the height restrictions to be too harsh but was pleasantly surprised. Needless to say Elka loved it!

First ever ride on a Merry-Go-Round - that sweet face with double chins and all was enough to make me all teary as a proud Mum!

Poor old Daddy got roped into all the rides since I was not going to fit with the big tummy!

We happened upon a trainer playing with some dolphins and she let Elka throw the ball for the dolphin to catch - very cute!

Exploring the touch and feel rock pools

The polar bear blew us away with how big he/she was! Those paws are the size of my face I swear!

We finished a perfect day by heading to our families beach house that we love and spent some relaxing time just soaking up the sun at the beach and splurging on a lovely beachside breakfast before spending some special time with the whole family.

I might not celebrate Easter nor really love chocolate that much but so far this Easter has been just wonderful. May yours be just as beautiful xoxo

Those touch and feel rock pools are fantastic for little ones. Did you pat a sting ray in the ray pool?

Looks like Elka had a lovely time! Spence is so into animals at the moment he is always wanting to "pap" them! That rock pool is awesome for the kiddies

I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
