So I just spent a weekend away at the beach - swimming in both the pool and the gorgeous teal waves at the beach. Not only that but Bronte joins Elka in taking weekly swimming lessons, like most Aussie kids, this coming weekend. So I know its that time of year when I am going to be spending a lot of time in my swimsuit.

I have a million bikinis but my most recent purchase is a red polka dot string bikini from Seafolly. However, the string factor isn't that compatible with two little kids constantly holding and grabbing onto you in the water - although my husband would disagree as he seems to quite enjoy watching me struggle to hold onto floating away pieces of fabric!

More and more I am thinking a gorgeous retro one piece would be perfect for this season. Well it seems Witchery agrees with me. Check out their new release swimsuits - drool, I will take one of each! (well not really at that price, one will be sufficient!)

*sigh* If only I had the figure for string bikinis!

Those one pieces do look hot though! Now if I could shrink my boobs to fit in one.....

I think I'll stick with my tankinis for now. :)

About Me

Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
