Two of my beautiful babies

My gorgeous new young horse hates my float. Not good for a competition horse that needs to be floated most weekends. In my previous life, I would have had this sorted out by now. But finding the time to do the groundwork and repetition on my overplanned and over filled weekends, just isn't happening.

So for the first time ever, I have given my horse to someone else to train. I dropped him off today - all of about four properties up the road away (that whole not being able to float him kind of restricted my choices!). I am excited to see how he responds to some "proper" natural horsemanship training (as opposed to my self learnt efforts). I get to be involved on my days off work.

I am missing him - he is so young and sweet. But my other horse is missing him worse, poor fella.

But it will all be worth it.

About Me

My Photo
Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
