Love, bubs and life on our little farm

I am a bit tetchy this week - coming down from the stresses of last week and having yet more rain delays on the building, making me feel that I am going to spend my entire maternity leave with builders outside my windows and barricades around all of my gardens that are becoming mud pits.

But, I need to concentrate on the good things :)

- having no front door and having to lug toddler and heavy baby plus all associated bags an extra 20 metres multiple times daily is a good work out. Yesterday to cheer myself up, I tried on my tightest tiniest jeans that I bought pre-Bronte pregnancy when I was a size 6-8 and..... they all did up!! Not only did up but I wore a pair for a few hours just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Happy days.

- my Mum is sounding stronger on the phone and is starting to do things around the house and talk about visiting so she must be feeling better. What a relief.

- My very clever husband has been headhunted for an amazing new job opportunity. It is a great career move -very challenging but I know he will excel. I choose to concentrate on the good things - like the wonderful salary that he has reached before turning 30, and ignore the possible long hours away from his family ;). In all seriousness that is why we are building a fancy study, so that he can work from home in the evenings after the kids have gone to bed.

- And I need to stand out there and stop sooking about what isn't done on the house extension and just admire what is. It is a pretty special thing to watch something you dreamed, discussed and drew up yourself come to life. Not too long now!
