I am getting excited for Winter and cold weather. For those who don't know, I live in SE QLD, not renowned for its chilly temps really.

But it is starting to cool off QLD style - the other day it was only 21 degrees (during the day!) and I had to find a cardigan to put on. Yay for adding a second layer to an outfit, I miss adding interest to an outfit in Summer, layers just equal sweat and a red face.

Not only that but I am heading to Canberra in 2 weeks for a work trip. Can't wait - cute work clothes, scarves and coats (well one coat actually as I got rid of all my others!). And after that.. another work trip to Hobart in July!! I am going to freeze but am excited nontheless. I even have a ball to go to - I will be so cold enroute but am still determined to wear a nice dress!

Yet again Kate Middleton has inspired me with her cool weather dressing. Love this simple elegant look. I finally got a cute blazer the other day, have heaps of great long boots and I love wearing wide scarves like that so I am thinking this look will be perfect for flying down to Canberra..

I am looking for some cute ankle boots for this Winter and this Witchery pair are pretty cute! Although possibly a little high?

And these are just preeeety :)

I absolutely love the first pair.

I too have been toying with the idea of buying a pair but personally I'm not sure if I can pull them off.

I guess there is only one way to find out :)

Ooh I love the first pair of shoes as well - too tall for me though. :)

Love the look that Kate is sporting as well - I do a similar look during winter in Canberra, but my coats are a little longer to keep the cold out!

Hope to catch up with you when you're down. :)

Oh I do love the boots that Kate is wearing! I adore winter weather too, there's nothing more gorgeous then soft wool fabrics and cosy scarves xx

About Me

My Photo
Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
