..in all senses of the word! Decided I was close enough to 6 weeks so took advantage of Jase being home to saddle up Spech and get back into it. Damn it felt good!!! And he was brilliant - he was soft, flexible and remembered his lateral work. This is the first time I have ridden him since he has had his hooks and ramps removed (teeth issues) and I can feel the difference.

But it was only a gentle walk/trot session (for both him and me!) so I am still craving a good gallop! Was keen to be back on again today but have woken up with tender but and thighs so I think in the interests of being able to walk for the rest of the week, I will rest today!

I am hopeful that bubba's good sleeps will allow me to sneak a ride in during the week :)
Happy days!

About Me

My Photo
Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
