Jase and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary yesterday. We had a beautiful day on our holiday with a gorgeous beachside breakfast, a lovely long walk around the river and the headland, lots of beach time and a swanky Italian dinner in a very dark candle lit restaurant.

Its been a very busy 5 years -we threw our dream wedding, had a lovely honeymoon in Samoa, saved for a year and went backpacking through Europe and Japan, compeleted my PhD, moved states, got fantastic jobs, promotions, bought our first house which just so happened to be the farm we dreamed about, had our first child and are now awaiting the arrival of our second who will complete our family. Phew its been wonderful! What a ride.

And our relationship is still as special and strong as ever. We are best friends and love spending time together and share all the same goals. We just make life easy for for each other. We have been blessed that lifes challenges just draw us closer so far.

May the next five years be just as blissful and busy!

And we normally spoil each other with surprise anniversary presents but this year we agreed that a lovely holiday away and a huge house extension were pretty good gifts to each other :)

The winery reception venue had a fantastic barrel cellar where we waited for our guests to settle in at the restaurant...

About Me

My Photo
Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
