HOT
Seeing our decking timber being delivered this morning - how I can't wait for drinks on our big raised deck :)
Discovering that our ceiling fans throughout our house have reversible blades so that I can flip from the the ugly cane decorated side to lovely modern plain white blades - has made my week to see the fans looking so good without spending a dollar! hehe its the little things sometimes
Big Bronte smiles and coos and her sleeping 10 hours at night - how I love a 7 week old who sleeps that well!
The awesome mummies group that I have joined up with - 3 days out of the 5 weekdays having activities together and so much in common with other country mums - great mental support!
Getting offered two days of guest lecturing at a university
My husband ;) - news to be shared when I can
NOT
Us owing the taxman money! Jeez we never get cut a break from the government - how I would love to get paid some money for having kids like so many others do!
The rotten rat that has figured out that with our house missing external walls it can get into the dry wall and scratch at night, driving the cats and I equally crazy!
Finding that everyday lately, my right eye keeps getting make-up smeared under it and only discovering after hanging out with people - not a good look!
The rain we are getting - great for the paddocks and the tanks but not so great for our construction site - its mud from one end to the other.
Feeling quite rested (thank you Bronte) but people greeting me with "You are looking tired" boo!
Elka's new favourite trick of running away at the shops to hide -not enjoying that one much!

About Me
- Amy
- I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)

Loving your 'Hot' points - especially intrigued about your hubby news. :)
Bugger about the 'Not' points though. Hope the weather and everything else picks up for you soon.

Can't wait to see pics of all this construction complete.
Oh and yes I have a little runner as well. It is a new habit she has developed and Raya can run FAST to go and hide.
