Love, bubs and life on our little farm

Well I got to cheat and work in my 21 degree air conditioned laboratory, which has to be kept that cold for all of the expensive machines we run- yes whilst its 37 degrees outside, I am wearing a singlet under my blouse and have a cardigan draped over my legs when I sit at the computer. I literally freeze at work.

But for those not that lucky - like my poor horses, well they got a treat while Jase was irrigating the garden.



And because someone asks - it is not cruel to have rugs on them in Summer, it is actually humane as the light fly mesh rugs they are wearing keep the sun off them and stop them being bitten all over by the horse flies and midgies we have here, their legs often have blood on them where the flies have landed and bitten they are so fierce. The big chestnut, Sam is so allergic to the midgies that where ever the rug doesn't cover him, he scratches down to bloody open sores.

They also love to take themselves swimming in the dams when it is hot. They have it pretty good!
