So I always love a beauty bargain. I would love to hear of yours and I will share mine.
My biggest and best recommendation is Rosehip Oil as moustriser. I used to use it all the time when I was younger. I then forgot about it and have been wasting lots of money on expensive creams in the last few years. They feel nice but my skin wasn't feeling as good as it could. I had a skin assessment with a facial awhile ago and they used and recommended a lovely oil for hydrating my skin. All good and well until I saw the price of it. But it triggered my memory of the Rosehip oil, so I marched straight down to the health food store three shops down and grabbed this bottle of Trilogy RoseHip Oil for $15. And I have used it at night ever since. Well my skin feels wonderful again, my pores have minimised and my cheeks feel soft and smooth.
Honestly, try it. It is so cheap. And after a week of massaging it into your face at night (which is so soothing in itself), you will be raving about it too. Best $15 you will spend in the next few months, I can tell you.
And my other bargain for now. Designer Brands (DB) liquid eyeliner "Savvy by DB". I buy it from Priceline. Cheap as - I think about $5 and my last one has lasted about 6 months so far. Its vastly nicer than the expensive MAC liquid eyeliner I was using and I much prefer it to the Napoleon pot eyeliner that I was talked into by the salesgirl... Glides on, cleans up easily and stays ALL day. No smudges and the brush has lasted. What more can you ask for? And for a great price.
So there you go, for the princely price of $20 you could have new skin and pretty eyes ;)

Thanks for the rosehip oil tip - might have to go get some myself!
I love bio oil. I use it to hydrate my skin, plus it evens out skin tone as well as minimises the look of scarring & stretchmarks, I also use it to soften my hair as a treatment.
Will have to check out rose hip oil for my face! I am hopeless using liquid eyeliner, so I bought Rimmel black eyeshadow and a great pointy brush and use that as eyeliner instead.
Been using Rosehip Oil for about a year now and love it! You really can see a difference can't you?! I love that it helps to balance the skin (is ok for a slightly oily skin too) and minimises scarring.
As for tips, I love Bobbi Brown but that's hardly a bargain!
Actually, here's one, I've recently started trying a Sukin body wash and the protein shampoo & conditioner (found at Priceline). For 500ml it's about $12.50 and it's Australian, Natural, Organic, no sulfates or parabens. Really, really enjoying it.
I wonder how rosehip oil would go with my combination skin? Not so great I'm thinking! I am always looking for new products but I have a really oily T-zone and yet get really dry on my cheeks so I have trouble with skin products.
As for tips - I'm actually loving Avon makeup at the moment! My sister does it so I have access to the catalogues and get to order just when the specials come out. I've been getting their mineral makeup and am finding it great for my skin. I still can't wear foundation, but at least I can add some colour to my face. Their lipsticks are fantastic and really cheap when you get the 2-for-1 sales and the like. :)
Have been using Rosehip Oil (got as a gift yeeaars ago) but was recently given (by my mother) some organic macadamia oil which (according to her natopath) is the oil most closely resembling the requirements for human skin... jury is still out on whether it will prevent stretch marks.
After having a bad skin reaction to neotrogena the skin specialist said the best thing for skin was plain sorbelone cream. Sure, it feels like crayons but my face comes up a treat the next day!
