..our sixth wedding anniversary! Conviently on a Saturday and it just happens to be this weekend when my Mum is coming up to drop off her cat for us to mind.

So, instead of gifts (particularly since Jase decided to buy me an enormous gorgeous ring for my birthday and blow our budget!) we are simply asking Mum to mind the girls in the evening so that we can get spiffed up and go to a renowned Gold Coast restaurant that I have always wanted to try.

Am looking forward to a lovely glass of wine with my amazing husband (I am most amazed at how he just keeps making me fall more in love!) and some very non-childfriendly food. We are indulging and having the full three courses off one of their set menus - it sounds delicious!

Happy days. Six years on and life only gets better and better. And we can still laugh and chatter into the night, fight and forgive within a minute and think the same thing at the same time. I couldn't have dreamed it any better.

Sidenote - I don't quite get the clear plastic chairs that the restaurant has?? But anywho despite the chairs, I can't wait!

They're on using the designer chairs (i think they're Phillippe Starke ghost chairs, a take on Louis XIVth) because they're trendy. I don't quite get it for restaurant furniture either??
Anyway, have a fantastic night, 6 years, congratulations!! Yes, it's true, you thought you were in love when you got married, wow, so much more years later, tried & tested!! Love Posie

Well there you go Posie. I figured they were funky but that was all I knew. Thank you for explaining :)

Congratulations Amy! And yes, I agree with the falling more and more in love phenomenon - same thing goes for me and Damo. The more that life throws at us, the more I realise how much I do depend on him, and how much he really is the half of my whole.

Doesn't feel like 6 years hey, but then when you realise what has happened in those 6 years it feels way longer. Hope you had a lovely dinner, i'm planning something for ours but not sure what yet see if i can find a babysitter for a couple of hours!

I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
