So I was lying back feeling blissed out from my spa day, feeling a million bucks after all the spa's, steam rooms and plunge pools and from realising that I had somehow lost a couple of kilograms without noticing and looked good in my bikini, when the dimmed lights above my treatment table were turned up and my facial therapist appears in my view spruiking products for me to buy. All well and good until I tune into what she is trying to sell to me - a plumping cream for the wrinkles on the side of my eyes and a cleanser that is better for my "ageing skin".

Well did my mood drop like a tonne of bricks! Not so blissful now!

I did get over it and enjoy the rest of the lovely day I promise. But now I have a new obsession - I looked at Age Defying foundation today - sigh there is always something to fixate on isn't there! Hmm maybe if I put those couple of kilograms back on - they might fill out my eye wrinkles!

Ha, I wish I could accidentally lose a few kilos. You're georgeous Amy, no wrinkles that I can see.

But we are reaching that age, aren't we? Things start to head downwards, and there is very little to be done about it...

Nothing wrong with a few wrinkles - you wouldn't be human otherwise :)

About Me

My Photo
Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
