Tonight my extra clever hubby is being awarded the Vice Chancellors award at Griffith Uni for his excellent work and for topping his Policy Analysis Course (the proper name escapes me!)

Add to that, he launched his 25 Million dollar research strategy for the Government today and managed to successfully get the news to cover it in a good length report (like 4 minutes!). I am proud wife :)

Of course I am not sitting at home cooking and vacumming the floors humbled and awed - I am doing said jobs planning my next career moves ;) Oh yes we have been bitterly competitive since we met ten years ago in Undergraduate Science (and I kicked his ass in marks by the end hehehe)

However, I have a lot of chasing to do - Jase is generally pegged by most of his co-workers to be Most Likely to be running most of the State Government in a few years time LOL..

About Me

My Photo
Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
