For 9 years now I have had the same Valentine and I love him to bits.

With my birthday 2 days later and our wedding anniversary 12 days later, we tend to take Valentines day easy..

Jase popped out to grab dinner and came home with a big bunch of pink tulips for me :) Tulips are "my" flower from him - I love it.

I on the other hand went the home cooking route since I have the luxury of time this year. I made these gingerbread cookies and decorated them.. Elka helped/hindered by insisting on being held, so the majority were decorated one handed with a baby swiping at the pink icing. I think they are sweet - Jase has eaten two before breakfast so they cant be too bad!

We are off to swimming and then a nice lunch out. Today more than ever I am glad to share my life with my beloved. The Victorian fire tragedy and the heartbreaking stories of loss make me extra appreciative of my blessed life.

Happy Valentines Day!

About Me

My Photo
Amy
I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
