A lovely lady has requested some completed photos of Bronte's room and I am more than happy to oblige :)

Miss B's room is a mirror image room to Elka's so it was fun making them different! Elka's is done in lilac with green touches, polka dot curtains and a chandelier (link here to some old pics). So for Bronte we chose pale pink (Dulux Tea Party in Quarter Strength, isnt that a great paint name for a little girls room!) and decided to be a little different and team it with black and white to add a little edge.

Elka's "thing" is stars, and Bronte's is owls, so there is a slight owl theme also.

My mum sewed the double block out curtains for me from fabric I chose (I have a huge thing about japanese blossoms). The majority of furniture is from IKEA, including another bookself-convertible change table as we fell in love with it for Elka. Great use of space and just detach the change extension table when you are done and you have a sweet set of shelves for your kids room. There is a pendant frosted glass lampshade as the main light, which looks lovely but Jase does hit his head on it.

I lucked upon the toy box in a hardware store of all places and love it! The owl mobile above the change table is sewn by me, as tradition, as I also sewed Elka's star mobile above hers... I was worried that the black floor rug would be too heavy looking for a babies room but it looks great and Bronte loves playing on it.

So here are the pics!

Thanks guys.

Posie - great spotting. Yes we are huge Mason Pearson fans here too - I have three of different sizes and the girls have one each in the small size :) how good are they! once you have one you can't have any other brush!
Glad the kids liked the koala.

Thanks Leesa!

What a cute room. Love the black and white cherry blossom theme, and what a view from the window.

Gorgeous Amy! Thanks so much for sharing - I love how its all come together! I'm not a huge 'pink' person, so we're planning on doing Ashleigh's bedroom in purples, but I have some time and might have to re-think a 'pink' room for her after seeing Bronte's room so well accessorised!

The wall colour is lovely and I think the black and white goes really well with it, also it will last her a while because it is not too "babyish".

I am 30 years old, am a microbiologist with a PhD and love looking after my little farm. I compete in dressage and showjumping with my horses. I have a passion for shopping and a weakness for pretty clothes, shoes and handbags. My husband and I have a gorgeous toddler called Elka and a little bub named Bronte. I am a mother who works and has a career - just don't call me a "working mother". I don't do inside hobbies and craft and have only successfully sewn two things in my life that weren't ripped horserugs. The scientist in me makes me a little cynical and I am more likely to tell you about my life and events then give you a pretty polaroid style picture and an inspiring quote. Not for everyone but I have a bad memory and blogging is my way of recording life :)
